PRODUCTS and SERVICES
Informetrica offers several comprehensive forecasts of Canadian economic activity, with substantial industry and provincial detail year by year. The forecast services provide in-depth planning information for economic and financial analysts, planners and decision-makers.
Experienced professionals provide research and analysis, and effectively communicate their results to those at the appropriate levels of the research and decision-making process.
PUBLICATIONS
- Forecast Services Reports and Databases are provided regularly to subscribers, providing detailed economic forecasts and explanations of why the forecast patterns emerge.
- Special Studies provide in-depth analyses of alternative economic development paths, policy issues, industry or regional outlooks, and foreign events.
- The Monthly Economic Monitor provides both
analysis of current economic conditions and other useful information for
analysts and decision-makers.
- Canadian Capital Projects (CCP), released quarterly with monthly updates available, is a comprehensive and up-to-date report on major Canadian investment projects, planned and underway. Organized by province and by industry, CCP provides the owner, location, timing, value, and status of all projects now underway or expected to be under construction during the next ten years.
- Time-critical reports, newsletters, and occasional studies are available on an individual order basis.
SOFTWARE
The company maintains its own software system MOSAIC/SIMSYS for developing, building and maintaining its models and databases. This software is made available to clients who require in-house use of one or more of the Informetrica models.
The MOSAIC component of the system provides capabilities for time series database management, report generation (in the form of Web pages or Excel workbooks), regression analysis and seasonal adjustment. The SIMSYS component is used to compile and assemble the model’s equations into a native Windows executable. The executable has exceptional performance in both time and memory use, making the system particularly suited for large-scale models.
SIMSYS model executables are implemented as a standard Dynamic Link Library (DLL) that exposes a standard interface. This allows Informetrica models to be tightly integrated (solved simultaneously) with external models or to be “wrapped” with custom user interfaces.
Members of Informetrica's staff, who were responsible for the actual development of these software systems, are available to design tailored systems required by industry and government, and provide continuing maintenance and support of existing systems.
TRAINING
Training programs, including "turnkey" support, assist management, economists, econometricians, statisticians, and other researchers to make the best possible use of data, econometric tools, and software.
